About Me
Fast Facts:
Why I Became a Teacher:
I discovered that I wanted to be a teacher in quite a round about way. Throughout my college experience, my goals bounced between medical school, physician assistant school, nursing school, physical therapy, occupational therapy...if it was in the medical field, it was probably on my radar. I love science, medicine, and the human body, but I could never get all that excited about actually working in the medical field. However, for three and a half years in my undergrad, I taught anatomy as a teaching assistant, and I loved every second of it. I started subbing in for anatomy professors, and I loved that even more. I loved teaching.
One day, one of the BYU anatomy professors said, "Chloe, why don't you teach? Stop bouncing around between all these other things." And that was that. I changed my plans and did exactly what I love-- TEACHING SCIENCE! Now that I have students of my own, I not only love teaching science, but I also really love helping kids find the things they are good at and the things that make them happy, so they can pursue them. I am so excited to be teaching biology, chemistry, and anatomy to 10th, 11th, and 12th graders for this very reason. It's going to be a great year, everyone!
